What's the difference between Ombre' brows and microblading?Microblading is a technique of fine stroke-like cuts placed into the skin to mimic hair. Whereas Ombre' brows are performed with the use of a tattoo machine to implant small pixels in the skin to create a more powdery, filled in brow look. The brows are fully customizable and can be done more natural or more dense based on each individual client's needs. With Ombre' brows versus microblading, you will need less touch-ups due to the color retaining on the skin for longer than blading.

Does the procedure hurt?Everyone's pain tolerance is different person-to-person. Each client may have a different level of discomfort associated with the procedure. Some say they only feel pressure and others say it feels similar to tweezing. A topical numbing gel will be applied throughout the process to help ensure your comfort.
-
What is the recovery time?Immediately after the procedure, your brows may appear pink and the brows will appear larger and darker than preferred (this is expected). The skin has been opened, minimal swelling may occur and this causes the brows to look larger than they will be once healed. The brows ALWAYS heal lighter. The healing process takes about 2-4 weeks to be fully healed.

How should I prepare for my appointment?-Avoid aspirin, advil, ibuprofen, Fish oil supplements or blood-thinning agents for 72 hrs prior. Please ask your doctor before stopping any medications. -Discontinue Retin-A, retinol products 1-2 weeks prior. -Avoid waxing, tweezing or grooming your brows 2 weeks before your appointment is recommended so I am able to see all the brow hair I have to work with. -Avoid chemical peels or abrasive skin treatments 2 weeks before your appointment. -AVOID ANY ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION 48-72 hrs prior to your appointment (increases bleeding and hinders healed results). -AVOID CAFFEINE CONSUMPTION 24-48 hrs prior to your appointment (increases blood flow, increases bleeding and hinders results). -NO CHILDREN allowed during your appointment. -Avoid tanning 3 days prior.
-
What are my after care instructions?Do Not! -Work out 48 hours after the procedure -Avoid saunas, swimming, and pools until the scabs are completely healed and gone! -Avoid getting the brows wet. Wash around the brows until the scabs are completely gone and then you may wash your brows. -No sunbathing or tanning for a month after the procedure. Avoid ANY direct sun exposure to the brows while they heal. -No chemical peels, botox, dermabrasion or any other strong treatments around the eyebrows for a month after the procedure. -Avoid any makeup to touch the eyebrows while they are in the healing phase, about a month or so. -DO NOT SCRATCH, PICK OR PEEL THE SCABS! This will remove the pigment prematurely. -Avoid sleeping directly on the brows. Day 1: Cleanse both eyebrows with the disinfectant wipe every hour for 2 hours and then apply the aquaphor. Day 2-7: Continue putting thin layers of the aquaphor on the brows twice a day for 7 days or if scabbing occurs, STOP applying aquaphor at this time. Whichever comes first.

Am I able to choose the brow shape and color I want? All brows are FULLY customizable to each individual client's needs and preference. Each client is color matched by color swatching pigment to the skin near your brows. Skin tone, hair color and personal preference are all taken into consideration during the color match process. We want to match your new brows as close as possible to your brow hair as possible. As far as shape, you are more than welcome to bring in an inspiration photo. Keep in mind that the perfect brow for you is going to be based on your measured facial features and bone structure. We will not begin the actual procedure until the client is in 100% agreement with the final mapped out design and pigment selection.

How often do I have to get touch-ups?Individual results do vary. Each client's skin type, skin texture, pore size, hair texture and lifestyle factors play into the healed result of the brows. It may be common that some fading and unevenness in pigmentation may occur after just your initial session. To achieve the best results a touchup appointment is recommended at 6-8 weeks after your initial appointment and annually after that. The brows tend to last 1-3 years without needing a touch-up but results do vary client to client. Good aftercare is important in helping with the longevity of your brows!
